Fall 2017 Portrait update:
Select portrait times available in November
Remember after daylight savings the sun sets early. The best time to start your session will be around 3:30 PM, but we can work with other times.
Sessions will be available the first 2 weekends in December, but there will be a $50 rush charge for anyone wanting a shoot in December and edits available in time for Christmas cards and prints. If you don't need them for Christmas, the rush charge is waived.
Starting in January, we will return to our normal rates.
The basic portrait session:
I work on location not in a studio. I most often work outdoors in natural light, though will occasionally work with a client indoors during daytime hours or if the home or chosen site is well lit. I can suggest several good spots to you, and am happy to arrange a photo shoot at a place that is meaningful to you or your family member(s).
$200 total for shooting and editing with 1-4 people. The first $100 up front is your sitting fee due at time of session or during busy times - I may require it up front to reserve your time. The 2nd $100 is due at the time your images are edited and ready to print or download.
More than 4 in your family/ group? No problem for just $25 you can add 2 additional people or one additional furred, scaled or feathered friend.
If you have more than 8 people in your family or group or you want to schedule a shoot lasting longer than 2 hours (think half day or full day event) - contact me to negotiate a fair price.
Editing / Prints
I don't make scads of money off of printing, but editing does take time, usually far more time than the photo shoot itself. As a result there is an editing fee if you shop around you will find it is quite reasonable. This is for groups up to 8.
Prints and products
* If your group size is over 8 or you want an event photographed please contact me to discuss details. Larger groups require more work both for posing and editing and will necessitate a larger editing fee.
To sum it up: For $200-500 a couple or small family can have 15-30 (often more) treasured images to use in email, cards, wall prints, or on other merchandise like keychains or books. This is also a great option for a group of friends (think girlfriends' reunion or last get together before someone in your group moves out of town).
If the standard session doesn't suit you ask about a mini. I sometimes run specials on mini sessions around holidays. A mini is generally a 30 minute session with shooting and editing fee rolled into one. The price includes a smaller number of edited images available in time for the special event or holiday. The earlier you schedule a mini prior to your printing deadline/ gifting deadline - the more reasonable the price.
November 30 minute minis are $100 In December $150
